Terms of Service
Status: Publication draft — pending formal legal review before publishing
Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:
- the TippingMates website and waitlist;
- the TippingMates iOS and Android apps; and
- any related service that links to these Terms,
together, the "Service".
The Service is operated by WebSupreme Pty Ltd (ABN 76 612 460 536) of Level 4, Shop 4023/17 Patrick St, Blacktown NSW 2148, trading as TippingMates ("TippingMates", "we", "us" or "our").
By creating an account, selecting "I agree", purchasing a subscription or continuing to use the Service after these Terms are presented to you, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. You acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to read it.
2. What TippingMates is
TippingMates is a social sports-tipping service for private groups. Members can create or join competitions, submit tips and predictions, and compare results on a group leaderboard.
TippingMates does not itself offer or facilitate:
- real-money betting or wagering;
- betting odds;
- stakes or entry-fee prize pools;
- cash or cash-equivalent prizes; or
- bookmaker advertising or betting promotions.
The Service is intended for entertainment, friendly competition and bragging rights. You must not use it to organise or facilitate gambling, wagering or an unlawful prize competition.
3. Eligibility and age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the app.
When registering, you must make a truthful, affirmative declaration that you are 18 or over. We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe that you are under 18 or that your declaration was false.
You must also:
- have legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- provide accurate, current information;
- use the Service only where it is lawful for you to do so; and
- comply with any additional eligibility requirements disclosed for a particular feature.
The Service is not directed to children.
4. Accounts and authentication
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of law or failure to use reasonable care.
You must:
- use an email address you control;
- keep your email account, device and sign-in session secure;
- not share one-time sign-in codes or access credentials;
- promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access; and
- maintain only one account unless we approve otherwise.
TippingMates may use email one-time codes, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In or another supported passwordless method. Your use of a third-party sign-in service may also be subject to that provider's terms.
5. Private competitions and invitations
Competitions are private and invite-only at launch. They are not publicly searchable.
You may be able to join in two ways:
- Email invitation: a competition owner enters your email address. If you sign in with the matching address, the invitation appears in the app and you may accept or decline it.
- Shared link or QR code: you open a valid link or scan a QR code, view limited competition-preview information and request to join. An owner or co-owner decides whether to approve the request.
A link or QR code does not guarantee membership. Do not publish a private invitation, link or QR code where unintended people can access it.
Competition owners and co-owners may:
- invite, approve, remove or block members;
- appoint or remove co-owners, subject to available controls;
- transfer ownership where supported;
- configure scoring and competition settings; and
- archive or end a competition where supported.
Owners must use invitation information responsibly and should invite someone by email only where they reasonably believe the person would expect the invitation.
Removed or blocked members lose access to the competition. We may present a generic "not found" response to avoid revealing private competition information.
6. Tips, predictions and lockout
You may create or edit a tip or prediction only before the applicable lockout time. The server's recorded time controls whether a submission was made in time.
At launch:
- a match locks five minutes before its scheduled kickoff time;
- the latest valid submission received before lockout is the submission used;
- a late or missing submission receives the result specified by the competition's scoring rules, ordinarily zero points for a missed tip; and
- tips and predictions remain hidden from other members until lockout, then become visible to members of that competition.
We may later allow eligible competition owners to configure a permitted lockout period. If we do:
- the current setting will be shown to competition members;
- a change will not reopen a match that is already locked; and
- server-side enforcement will continue to control.
Kickoff times can change. The lockout time may move when an upstream fixture is rescheduled. You are responsible for checking the current time shown in the Service and submitting early enough to allow for device, network or service delays.
7. Scoring, results and leaderboards
Scoring follows the settings shown for each competition. The default model may award:
- 2 points for a correct winner tip;
- 1 point in the event of a draw, as described in the competition rules; and
- 0 points for a missed tip.
Competition owners may be able to configure round weights, game overrides, feature-game predictions, bonuses or other settings. Current settings and material changes will be visible to members. A settings change may recalculate earlier scores if the Service clearly indicates that the setting has retrospective effect.
Unless the displayed rules say otherwise:
- members on equal points share the same position;
- provisional results may update the leaderboard before final confirmation;
- a corrected fixture, score or result may cause points and rankings to be recalculated; and
- scoring or result corrections may be recorded in a member-visible history.
We aim to apply the displayed rules consistently. If a technical or data error occurs, we may correct the affected result or calculation and will provide reasonable notice where the correction materially changes standings.
TippingMates' records, server timestamps and current scoring configuration will be used to resolve routine scoring questions, subject to your rights under applicable law.
8. Competition-owner responsibilities
If you create or manage a competition, you must:
- apply membership and scoring controls honestly and consistently;
- avoid misleading members about settings, eligibility, prizes or fees;
- not charge an entry fee or collect a stake through or in connection with the Service;
- not offer a cash or cash-equivalent prize through the Service;
- not use invitation tools for spam, harassment or unrelated marketing;
- not upload or display content you do not have the right to use; and
- not represent that TippingMates sponsors, endorses or administers your private arrangements.
TippingMates is not responsible for side arrangements made outside the Service. Any such arrangement must comply with law and these Terms. We may suspend a competition that appears to involve unlawful gambling, wagering, deceptive conduct or misuse.
9. Your content
"Your Content" means content you provide to the Service, such as a display name, profile photo, competition name, competition cover image, tip, prediction, support message or other uploaded material. System-generated scoring, ranking and account records are not Your Content merely because they relate to you.
You retain any rights you have in Your Content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, display and transmit Your Content only as reasonably needed to:
- operate and secure the Service;
- display it to the users and groups you select;
- provide support and enforce these Terms; and
- comply with law.
This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except to the extent limited copies remain in backups, records we are legally permitted to retain, or content that has been de-identified.
You promise that:
- you own Your Content or have all permissions needed to use and license it;
- it does not infringe copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- it is not unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit or deliberately misleading; and
- it does not contain malware, secrets or another person's sensitive information without authority.
Do not upload an official club, league or tournament logo, crest or other branded artwork unless you have permission to use it. TippingMates may remove content that reasonably appears to breach these Terms or another person's rights.
10. Acceptable use and fair play
You must not:
- bypass or attempt to bypass tip lockout, scoring, entitlement or membership controls;
- alter, falsify or manipulate tips, results, rankings, invitations or audit history;
- access or attempt to access another person's account or a competition you are not authorised to view;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the Service or sports data except where law does not permit us to prohibit it;
- copy, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code except to the limited extent such a restriction is prohibited by law;
- introduce malware, overload, disrupt, probe or test the Service without written authorisation;
- use bots or automation to submit tips or create accounts unless we expressly permit it;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- harass, threaten or abuse another user;
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing;
- use the Service for betting, wagering, money laundering, fraud or another unlawful purpose; or
- help another person do any of these things.
Reasonable security research must be reported to tippingmates@websupreme.com.au and must not access, change, retain or disclose another person's data or disrupt the Service.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, original content, TippingMates name and TippingMates branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the app and access the Service for your own non-commercial social tipping activities.
Sports names, team names, competition names, trade marks, logos, fixtures, statistics, scores and related data may be owned, licensed or supplied by third parties. Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation unless we expressly say so. You must not separately copy, republish or commercially exploit third-party sports data or branding through the Service.
No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
12. Feedback
If you voluntarily give us ideas, suggestions or feedback about TippingMates, you allow us to use them without payment or restriction. This does not transfer ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property contained in your feedback.
13. Free access and future subscriptions
TippingMates is free to download and use at launch. We may later offer optional paid subscriptions for additional features, which may include live scores, additional sports or configurable competition settings.
Before you purchase, we will clearly display:
- the price and currency;
- the features included;
- the billing period;
- whether the subscription renews automatically;
- any free-trial terms;
- how to cancel; and
- when access changes after cancellation.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by that store. The store's payment, renewal, cancellation and refund processes also apply. You can manage or cancel an app-store subscription through the relevant store account settings.
Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal and does not retrospectively refund the current billing period unless required by law or the applicable store policy.
We may change future subscription features or prices. Any change affecting an existing subscriber will be notified as required by law and the applicable app-store rules. If a material adverse change applies during a prepaid period, we will provide any remedy required by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, cancellation right, consumer guarantee or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Third-party services and sports data
The Service relies on third parties, which may include:
- sports-data and fixture providers;
- hosting, database and storage providers;
- email, authentication and push-notification providers;
- Apple and Google services; and
- analytics and crash-reporting providers.
Third-party content and services may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete or corrected. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
Links to third-party websites do not imply that we endorse or control them.
15. Availability, changes and beta features
We aim to keep TippingMates available and accurate, but online services require maintenance and sometimes experience outages, delays or errors.
We may add, improve, restrict or discontinue features for legitimate product, security, legal or commercial reasons. We will not use this clause to avoid obligations already owed to you. If a change materially reduces a paid feature during a current paid period, we will provide notice and any remedy required by law.
Preview, beta or experimental features may be less reliable and may change or be withdrawn. We will identify them where reasonably practicable.
16. Suspension and account closure
You may stop using TippingMates at any time and may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us.
We may suspend or restrict an account or competition where reasonably necessary to:
- investigate a suspected breach of these Terms;
- protect users, competitions, data or the Service;
- prevent fraud, unlawful activity or security harm;
- comply with law or a binding request; or
- address prolonged inactivity under a disclosed retention policy.
Except where urgent action is reasonably necessary, we will give notice of a material suspension or closure and an opportunity to contact us. We will act proportionately and will not suspend paid access arbitrarily.
When an account is deleted:
- active access and competition membership end;
- profile information and images are removed or de-identified, subject to lawful retention;
- subscription cancellation may still need to be completed through the app store; and
- de-identified competition records may remain so historical scores and ladders for other members remain coherent.
Sections that by their nature should continue after account closure remain in effect, including intellectual-property, liability, dispute and governing-law provisions.
17. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
For Australian consumers, services come with non-excludable guarantees, including that they will be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for a disclosed purpose, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time is fixed.
If there is a problem with a paid part of the Service, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law in addition to rights provided by an app store.
18. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- the Service is provided on an "as available" basis;
- we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that every fixture or score will be error-free, or that a particular feature will remain available indefinitely;
- sports data and provisional results may be delayed or corrected; and
- TippingMates is not responsible for private side arrangements between users or decisions made in reliance on provisional information.
These statements do not exclude any obligation to use reasonable care or any right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms were accepted. This does not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, breach of privacy or intellectual-property rights, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
19. Complaints and disputes
If you have a concern, contact us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it:
Email: tippingmates@websupreme.com.au
Postal address: Level 4, Shop 4023/17 Patrick St, Blacktown NSW 2148
We will handle privacy complaints under our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent court relief or using a consumer regulator, tribunal or another dispute process available by law.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security requirements or business operations.
If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before it takes effect, such as through the app or by email. We may ask you to accept updated Terms.
A change will not retrospectively take away an accrued right or reduce a paid entitlement without any notice or remedy required by law. If you do not agree to a material update, you may stop using the Service and cancel any future renewal.
The "Last updated" date shows when these Terms were most recently revised.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
The courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from them have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent you from relying on mandatory consumer protections or bringing a claim in another forum where applicable law gives you that right.
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue.
