Terms of Service | TippingMates

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TippingMates website and, once available, the TippingMates app (together, the "Service"), operated by TippingMates ("we", "us"). By joining our waitlist or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What TippingMates is

TippingMates is a free social footy-tipping game you run with your mates. It is not gambling: there is no money in or out, no entry fee, no stake, no odds and no prizes of monetary value. You tip winners for fun and bragging rights. We intend to keep it that way.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 years or older to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. Accounts and invites

Comps are private and invite-only. When accounts are available you are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Comp organisers control who is in their comp and may remove members. Removed members lose access to that comp.

4. Fair play and acceptable use

The Service is built to be fair — tips lock before each game and stay private until lock-out. You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to bypass tip lock-out, interfere with scoring, access others' accounts, scrape or disrupt the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose or any form of betting or wagering.

5. Scoring

Scoring follows each comp's settings (a default of 2 points for a correct tip and 1 for a draw, which organisers may adjust). Scoring rules and any changes are visible to comp members. Results may be provisional until confirmed by our data sources and may be corrected if those sources revise them.

6. Subscriptions (future)

The Service is free to start. We may later offer optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional features or limits (such as running more comps). Any subscription will be a plain consumer subscription — never tied to a stake, entry fee or prize. Paid subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by those stores and subject to their terms, and to the Australian Consumer Law, including clear pricing and auto-renewal disclosure. Pricing and tiers will be shown before you purchase.

7. Intellectual property

The TippingMates name, logo, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. Sports fixtures, scores and related data are provided by third-party data sources and remain the property of their owners. You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.

8. Availability and data accuracy

We work to keep the Service running and accurate, but we provide it on an "as available" basis and rely on third-party sports data that may be delayed, incomplete or later corrected. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to those consumer guarantees, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account once that is available. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction. (Governing state to be confirmed on final legal review.)

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service develops and before launch. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
